I have an old Mission 14" saw that was my grandads it is 65 years old. I do not use it at all no guards on blade and cannot find any. My Grandad was missing 3 fingers on his left hand where the saw cut them off as he was holding a 6" by 6", or so he said.
He was a master carpenter built houses in Easton, MD area by himself and 2-helpers, did it all from digging cellars by hand to installing the electrical.
