I have used both for years, the cut off is great for just that cut off, set a stop and all come out the same, it can be used as a table saw too
either one will eat you if you feed it.
I use a table saw on a daily basis to cut the stringer I glue into the eps surboard blanks I make. My band saw is down and I am actually cutting the rockers(curves)of the stringers with the table saw. My table saw is homemade, I made it.
