I know this truck. This was a local blacksmith shops' portable welder. I recall it from the early 50's, at least. Was well known in the River Falls, WI area especially by farmers. Used to have a Ford flathead V8 powered welder on the back under that roof. It was always kept in his shop; probably never saw rain unless he got caught out. The estate it's part of belonged to Rick Knight, a local area farmer & machinery and equipment jockey. He also used to have a couple Farmers Union Coop tractors with 265's or 251's in them. They had a road gear that would let them run over 40 MPH, ungoverned, I think. I didn't see them on the auction bill, though. Rick may have bought this truck as long ago as 20 years back: he passed away a couple years ago.
