Hi Jim,
I had a similar thing after I filled my front axle knuckles with grease. For a long time this winter it would seep oil out through the small felt seal that fills the gap in the cork seal. It was blue grease in the knuckles, and blue "oil" on the floor. like the oil was being squeezed out of the grease.
Eventually it settled down.
Glad your new engine is working out well.
