Wow, those things sound very fragile. If I had designed them they would not "fry" no matter which way you hooked them up wrong, short of plugging the thing into a wall outlet. There are way too many things in that list are both pretty likely to happen, and can destroy the tach. I've noticed the "Faria" name on all the new-production military M-series gauges. Only the old ones are Stewart Warner.
