1. Carb is E7S1 with integral governor (ALL four factory lead seals undisturbed). 2. MU-2 winch on front and pto-driven hydraulic lift Gar Wood 2 yard dump bed. 3. EricB informed me years ago that motor numbers indicated '57 Plymouth. 4. Distributor parts fit Fargo truck 230. Can you tell me the differences between the two? When I get back home (remember, I am an over-the-road truck driver who runs all 48.) I will test diaphragm and inspect and replace ignition parts as required and tune to spec. My point of reference is that prior to rebuilding (to Carter book specs with Carter special tools) and installing this carb, the motor would turn in higher rpm. Motor wasn't started for over two years while I worked on other parts of drive train and brakes. I'm trying to ascertain problem by asking questions about ignition subsystems which affect performance.
sorry for the long post.
