I doubt it woudl be a easy job to use a band/drum on a NP-205.
Why not make a disk eBrake for your NP-205.

AT last time I needed a rotor, TSMMFG did not have one for the Yokes I was using. I cut my own rotor from .375" plate, then had a friend true it on a lathe.

they make a disk ebrake setup for NP-205, but its very costly.
I have made my own disk ebrake for the NP-205 on all my old iron, they work as expected and cost is frugal.
