Dodge sold complete trucks as pickups,panels, stake and flatbeds in that era. In Don Bunn's book ther is a photo of a 1951 with a 7.5 stake bed with a comment that not many were sold.
Other trucks were sold as cab and chassis and the buyer added a aftermarket body. Like my 1948 B1d (1ton) dump truck in this photo the bed is made by Galion. Truck is a dually just have the outer wheels off in this photo
