I bought my grandson's 1950 without a title and the state of Alaska makes you apply for a new title, have an appraisal done on the vehicle and then do a surety bond for three years. Cost me $250 for the surety bond and luckily I have a friend that is a Dodge salesman who did the appraisal for free. My state would not accept a title from a different truck. They also required photos of the plate and truck and said they may need to inspect it. I now have all the paperwork together and hope to get the title next week. Long process...
