Click on the link below and then go to Serial # for more info. Not only are the numbers broken down, but there are some serial numbers listed with build dates so you could try and narrow yours down.
If you are looking for a more detailed answer follow Kieth's link, the build card is your best bet. A build card is a great thing to get, lots of good information on them.
