Electrical problem was a bad cable end. I've got electricity. I got it started using only half choke and three strokes of the pedal. Adjusted the idle again. I then used propane around all joints and points of entry to the carb. No change. It does run smooth at low end. I closed the hood, cleared all loose tools and equipment and took the old girl for her first road run in a while. Brakes need one pump to stop. Top end power is still missing and I have to sometimes baby the pedal near the low end. No backfiring, no run-on at shut-down. In order to get turned around at one point I stopped and did a three point turn, backing downhill on a gravel drive. She stalled out but a quick press on the starter button and she restarted.
WOO-HOO!!
