16" vs 17" rims

I have 6 of each size and currently I'm running with 7.50 x 17. First off are their many option for aggressive tires in a 17"? or are my option limited.

Secondly is their any advantage to running with 16" if 17" are plentiful?

This is for my '58 W100

anyone have a set of 19.5 rims for sale?
