Be very careful doing that as not to over expand the ring out of shape.
Also wood splinters or anything else you use could get between the wheel and ring.
Powder coating is not the best choice for wheels IMO.
How about the "seat" area were the lug nut contacts the wheel?
How are you going to protect that?
