The owner operated Bear Gulch Ski Basin here east of Ashton. Bear Gulch was created in 1938, operated for about 3 years and then closed down during WWII. In 1946 the owner along with some partners, created a new corperation and began operations. So the truck would have been there from the begining.
When it wasn't at the ski area, they used it on their farm.
Not quite sure how they run the rope tow, will have to inquire with the family for some pictures. I believe the larger rope tow was ran by a CCKW.
