End of an era...

30 years ago I was fortunate enough to witness the first shuttle launch. I was in a unique spot to observe the liftoff. I was flying the Hughes 500C known as Sky 10. WTSP, channel 10, in St. Petersburg, FL used our services. I was in an Out-of-ground -effect hover at 5500 ft agl in order to act as a relay for the microwave truck back to the TV station. Wonderful memory. Sad this morning. Watched the final landing of Atlantis.
