I find the spot weld cutters make too big a hole . I drill the spot with a 1/4 inch drill bit and split the panel by using a steel putty knife between the joints . The sharp end of the knife will cut through the remaining welds with a few taps .
I did the rear drip rails on my Carryall this way but did not drill out the spots , just used the knife . Gotta have a good handle , non of the plastic poop
