Hey Tim, I had old trucks before my wife new me... That was 35 years ago... She saw what she was getting into... Once we started a family, I was working lots of hours to keep our head above water, and once I was home, we did things, but I too wanted time to relax - for me that was working on my trucks in the garage ! How relaxing that is ! But all I heard was Boo Hoo your never spend enough time with me ! How come I did not hear that when we were dating, but always heard it once we were married, had a house, even before the kids came.. She never had enough to keep occupied, where I never had enough time to do everything I needed or wanted to do ! Well, It finally came to a head, and I told her if you don't like it, find someone better. I'll keep the trucks, they don't crab..I asked her if she would rather have me hanging out at strip clubs instead. I mean,that is somewhat enjoyable...I told her see ya, there's the door ! Well, she is still with me, and no longer bothers me like that... I still give her the same amount of time I always did, and still have all my trucks and parts. What can I say.... She still does not care about car shows, riding in the WC's wrenching, or anything like that, but it now is all pretty good...She knows I like to wrench and she now has found her calling after being a mom,and she went back to school and is now a teacher... I think a lot of it has to do with them looking for something to make themselves happy, and if they can't find a part of that happiness within themselves we take the lashing. I had to spout off on this one ! LOL
