The two-spring pumps use two nearly identical springs, one makes the pressure, the other prevents the lever from clacking. You need to keep track which is which, or it won't make enough pressure. I think there is .010" difference in the wire diameter. Heavier one is for pressure.
Ask me how many hours I wasted learning THAT.
