Todd, Mark the lower and upper before you disassemble so it is indexed correctly when you screw it back together. Compress the diaphragm to remove all of the wrinkles as Daryl advised. And make sure the valves are seated and spiked into position with the gasket laying flat under them. Then bench test it before you put it back on the truck. Just let it suck up some gas and see if it will hold the pressure with the outlet plugged.
