Front and rear wheel bearings are the same. Yes, the backing plate is riveted to the "braket" (flange) thas is welded to the axle tube, but so is the spindle. Remove the rivets and both the spindle and the backing plate fall off.

WDX-WM300. I don't know about any of the other models.
