Yep, another good point. A timing chain could have broken. But, more likely something electrical.
At this point, I would pull all the spark plugs and spin the engine with the plugs connected and grounded to see if the ignition system is working. As I said previously, the spark on these engines seems pretty weak, so don't expect too much.
Then on to compression readings since you already have the plugs out. Luckily, since it's a flat head, all of these things are easy to do.
