ME! Yaaay,
I dropped my M37 windshield frames off at a local glass shop to have the glass cut and installed. They were done Friday afternoon, ready for pickup today. Yesterday I was going through some M37 parts on the "done" shelf (parts all painted waiting installation) and what do I see but the 4 corner stiffeners that go inside the windshield frames. CRAP! sez I.
I picked the frames up today, and told them I would be back tomorrow. I had discussed with the glass guy, various methods of installing the glass. He reccomended installing the glass then injecting a bead of urethane around the outside. He pointed out if I ever needed to take one apart I could. I bet he didnt mean in like 72 hours! With a razor knife, I was able to slit his bead and pull the tops off, installed the corner pieces and put the tops all back on. They said they wouldnt charge me when I brought them back in tomorrow.
Oh well, at least I didnt break them taking them apart.
Tim
