I see a pto shaft coming out the bumper on Mark,s in Kev's post. Seems to me that would be the most logical way to drive. On Joes post it does look like a diff. driven from pto as Chris Case says. Course if you have a winch what will you do. Almost seems like the best way to do would be off the back of the truck and the rear pto.
I bough a houston light and power 63wm truck back in about 1979 or so. It had a head ache type rack on the front bumber with a spool on it and the gin poles mounted on the bumber, never know what you have until it is gone. Never figured out exactly what they did with it, had a winch but no pto drive anywhere on the front
Just out of curiosity how would the 6x with the 265 do with 430 diffs. and a 2 to 1 tc.
