I was visiting my Grandma and Grandpa in Sutherlin Oregon when I was about eight or nine. My grandpa had a fire wood delivery business from one of the mills in town. I had been lucky to get to ride back from Portland in a Chevrolet surplus truck he bought the summer before. It had a single rear end. One day he came home from the tire business out of town and said a man had been killed by one of those rims coming off. Took his head off!
