For the do-it-your-selfer, as most of us are, this is true. On the other hand, we KNOW the pros are afraid of ANY split rims, especially the high volume retailers around the malls.
Clean and straight are the keys for re-assembly. And you hit the big safety points, remote chuck and chain wrap...plus I kinda like the idea of reverse mount--never tried myself during inflation.
