Have had the same problem on my new cars, because of course they sit outside while the old PWs have a nice warm garage. Have had them on my boat as well. Dryer sheets do seem to work but I have had better luck with peppermint oil . They hate it plus its smells like candy canes, which is way better then the alternative. Most health food stores sell the oil or you can get it online. Put it in a spray bottle and hit the perimeter of the vehicle or the areas where they seem to want to nest
