Lots of DC3s flying in the Canadian arctic. Such a great old airframe, some have lost their Wright or Pratt & Whitney radials, and been converted to turboprops. They don't look right and I sure miss the sound of those big pistons a pumpin' when they nail it on takeoff, but I guess you can hotrod a transport too. My dad said they were a shining sword during WWII, or as he put it, the warhorse that carried the Airborne into battle. God bless 'em.
