I used cast iron. Through the years, headers seemed to always cause me grief - bolts getting loose, wiring getting fried, etc. Of course, Poly manifolds are known to crack (had one repaired already), so I might have to go to headers in the future. That's why I put those flex joints on to take some pressure off the manifolds.
