I have done like Chris said. Put the blade of a hack saw through the hole. The blade can be upside down if thta is what will work. Slowly make a releif cut at 3:00 and 9:00. Try to check your progress and not cut iron! The bushing is very soft does not take much. Then I get under the bushing with something with a good point (awl). If you can get under it in some place then you have it on the run. Sometimes the thin ones have been harder to get under.
Mine have been worn so thin that pushing them out would never work. Unfortunately I have had many that ate up the bushing on one side and ovaled out the receiving hole. Seems like my left rear side always has the most worn out parts!
I don't know if it's always this way, but I usually have to lightly ream out the new bushing once it is pressed in. I have used fine steal wool on a wooden dowel chucked up in a drill. A few passes then test fit.....(there may be better ways...).
Good luck.
Ken
