Simple;
Jack up (1) rear wheel off the ground ONLY ONE WHEEL
Put a chalk mark in the tire at 6 oclock and a chalk mark on the ground right below the 6 oclock chalk mark.
Now make a chalk mark on the drive shaft and a chalk mark somewhere next to the drive shaft.
Now turn the rear wheel BY HAND. (2) complete revolutions and also be counting the
turns of the drive shaft.
A little less than 5 turns is 4.89:1
A Little less that 6 turns is 5.83:1
