I did it on a 251 without unbolting the radiator. When I had the truck apart I bought a new water pump on e bay and after restoration I put in new antifreeze and it leaked out the bottom of the new pump that I bought. So I bought another new one from a parts store and installed it with the truck all togeather. The hardest part is getting the fan blade off but it can be done and 4 bolts hold the pump to the housing.
