My wifes SAAB keeps crapping out every time I look at it.(Guess I should stop looking at it? No comments on my looks!!) It's a real SAAB(sob) story! I cannot put up my truck for restoration like I wanted. Problem is that here in Maine the salt's in the food, the ocean water, some of the folks, and definitely the sand trucks(some of us have renamed 'em salt trucks!!). My Ma graciously broke her leg in 3 places so that we could have her car. Now this gives me some leeway to not use the truck for a spell to do some repairs but the withdrawals are HELL!!
Now this sounds stupid yet I ain't been driving my truck due to 2 bolts I broke taking the door hinges off. With only a battery powered drill the process is snail like at best.(Can't drive around 'cause you can't get yer door back on??) I see a bit a rust in where the hinges go and in where one can't reach too well with a brush. Is there some spray I can use to git rid of the rust and protect the metal. It seems like that restoring is going to have to happen one small spot at a time. It just seems a shame to pass up getting rid of some rust if possible. I don't care if it's a crazy far out homemade remedy as long as it works!!! Thanks for your help.
