For a completely different alternative, consider replacing the seat, if you are not worried about authenticity. I have a 63WM300 that a previous owner put buckets in. I was lucky enough to be given a Suburban third seat, with built in outside shoulder belts and middle lap built, that is the perfect width, with the bonus of a folding back. Maybe you could find one in salvage.
