my engine in my B4 PW is in need of a total rebuild. Thus will have to come out. I am not sure of the best way of getting the enine out. I have all sheetmetal removed and the radiator. I assume I unbolt the front motor mounts but what about the rear. I have the transmission out also. Should I unbolt the engine from the bell housing/crossmember or unbolt the crossmember supporting the rear of the enegine. Then the steering box is in the way. And, what about the flywheel, I can see it clearly from the starter motor hole. Does this need to be removed also before proceeding. I know this is probably simplistic stuff- bear with me am only an amature! Thanks for any advice.
