I've got an engine that came out of a 51 M37 which is stamped T61 402. It has head studs instead of bolts and had an 8 hole fly wheel flange. It also had a civilian type distributor and carburator. Additionally it was using a six volt starter and generator. The Military data plate on the block indicated all was standard and it was looked at in 1949 in CALF. I can't make out the name of the military post. Does anybody have any clues as to what this might have originally been used in. Obviously it is a transplant but from what?
Any info appreaciated.
