Lyle, you and I agree on most things but....
1) I've been driving my M37 (with PS) on Anchorage ice with dual Lockrights for several winters. It's surprisingly tame.
2) In the jeep trail issue, one could always unlock ONE front hub and temporarily have 3WD to make a tight turn. I do think if you have a choice a front ARB and rear autolocker is ideal, but if I lived in a tropical or subtropical area (no ice), need ultimate bulletproofness (3rd World country), had front hubs and PS, I'd deeply consider a front autolocker as well as rear, instead of a front ARB.
