Check out my truck on the "links" page of this site. I probably paid a little to much for it($5000) running with all the little stuff thats hard to find. BUT it did need alot of TLC at the very least. Being that it is such an early production #. 700 to be exact. As I got into it it was hard to comprimise on much of anything. Thank God for the 94 earthquake in So. Cal (I'm a contractor) I doubt I would ever go that far with a restoration again. I like to drive my trukcs and do drive the 46WDX HARD. I figure I cant do anything to it that hadn't already been done in the 48 years before I got it. That being said I disassembled it down to the bare frame sandblasted and paited every part of the undercarige including each individual leaf spring. All new ring and pinion and every bearing and seal were replaced. Balanced motor and so on and so on and so on. I have well over 20k into it not including one minute of my time. If I paid myself $5 per hour I would imagine another 10K would be charity. I doubt I would ever sell however everything has its price. I enjoy it and do not hesitate to take it into any enviroment. It still looks great. A scratch here and there but the doors still close better then my 2000 Ford Power Stroke. Sorry to ramble but its hard to put into words what it takes to"Restore" a truck. And I have seen many that are nicer then mine, even if they are "Pavement Queens"
