I was 24 years old when I bought my first Dodge 4X4 in 1971, a 1942 WC-54 3/4 ton ambulance. 4X4 van conversions were very new back then, but here was an existing 29 year old purpose-built 4X4 van with style. I've had old 4X4 Dodges ever since.
