Thanks for the calculations. You can break an axle without even all this extra gear reduction through shock loading from going too fast over obstackles, having to slip and pop the clutch etc. The practical experience with people with absurd gear reduction, whether in F350s, old Dodges or Toyota mini pickups is that they DON'T break parts, because slowness = safety. It's the same sort of argument as lockers: theoretically it's easier to break axles but the change in driving characteristics introduced by the modification decreases drivetrain stresses. I don't think everyone "needs" this. But there may be someone out there that is wondering "how can I get 100:1?"
