That is Titanium Nitride that is on many drill bits etc. That will increase the life of the bit or whatever is coated, substantially. It adds a plating cover that will be MUCH stronger than the metal underneath. If you need a bid, call some "Plating" companies in the phone book. Don't ask for "TIN" coating because that will actually be "tin". You have to ask for "Titanium Nitride".
