They were aluminum as were all the Warn hubs during that period. I had a set on a W300 and ran them for 8 years in auto & locked, I never had any problem!! However, I removed the hubs (on all six of our fleet) once a year, cleaned and lubed them, replaced them on the truck, so I guess maintenance helped too! I still maintain the hubs on my trucks at least every two years wether they are used or not!
