I am not seeking a HP gain. I was seeking to somewhat improve fuel economy. As I said in my initial post, the air velocity through 4-bbl primaries is usually higher than through a 2-bbl at a given RPM. This usually results in a more even mixture and better atomization of the fuel. Often the result is a bit of an increase in fuel mileage, particularly if the secondaries are set to open very late.
The 318 has more than enough power. I have no arguement there. It is not my goal to increase power from it.
Typically this has worked on the Brand X engines I've worked with. I was posing the question here for those who may have tried this on a 318.
