Vacuum tank?

I just bought a '68 W200 that was an ex brush truck from MA. It has a factory installed vacuum tank and brake booster system that I am not familiar with. I want to go through the entire brake system and wonder if anyone out there has clues as to how the booster system works and if spares are available.
