I have heard of Marin County. I live about 30 miles from Cordova Dragway Park. They claim to be the oldest continuously operating drag strip in the country, opening in 1956, and are hosts to the World Series of Drag Racing, the oldest drag race in the world which began in 1957. But, I have never been there to watch any races. I went to high school with some brothers who raced at Cordova - and are still racing MoPars there over 30 years later. One races the '68 Plymouth Roadrunner he drove to school.
