Broken axle shafts anyone????..

Meaning, does anyone have any broken axle shafts? I am looking for the end maybe 4 inches.
I got a metal box, and wanted to make a case to carry my slpined axle caps when I have the free wheelers on and to store the free wheelers when I have the splined ones on off road. I want the ends to tack into the box to hold the caps from movin around in the box.
