Have you got a 1/2 ton WC? Are you running 750's or 900-16's. With the 900-16 and the stock 4.89 ratio, your ratio drops down to 4.6. I wouldn't want to rev either a short or long block flathead much over 2800 RPM without modifying the oiling system and doing all the rest of the "Hotrod" stuff on them. Just my opinion now, like they say "Opinions are like A....... everyone has one. LOL
