When I got my 47 wdx the seller gave me the radio that came with it and yes it mounts under the dash but my controller mounts on the steering column. To look at it it doesn't hardly look like a radio more like a smallish heater.Always thought I might install it just for looks doubt I could ever find someone to fix it.John
