I rebuilt a little Highway trailer Model S / K-38 ro tow with my TD20, and used a scaler for the whole thing.

It is just a cheap air-hammer tool, with a needle scaler attachment. I'll still go for blasting on things like complete chassis, but for individual components that you can get all round it's fine. Easier on the metal surface that blasting too, once you are used to it.
