I use Firefox for my Browser and use Thunderbird for my email. Both are Mozilla Products. I have used Firefox/T Bird since 2004 and clicking on the name in blue always brings up my email page to send them a email.
You need to find what client your using for email. Firefox is NOT a email client as I understand. You must have some other client running for email. Thunderbird is a great companion to Firefox, they are made to run together.
