OT, old Case tractor question

I have a very tired Case 580CK with a backhoe, engine very worn, tired and leaky, hydraulics all very leaky. I have a chance to pick up a 530CK loader that runs very well but has tranny issues. My thought is to either fix the tranny, or swap parts to make one out of the two, but can not find out what the difference is between the two. They apparently have the same engine, visually are very similar (from the limited pictures I have seen). I know the 530 came before the 580, but whats the difference?
